BIBLE STUDIES:
Recent Bible studies have included Disciple: Introduction to the Old Testament, Disciple: Introduction to the New Testament, and Disciple I which is a 32 week course that covers over 80% of the entire Bible. Pastor Amy is just about to finish a study by Philip Yancey entitled Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference?
Beginning in February 2012, Pastor Amy will be teaching Adam Hamilton's 24 Hours that Changed the World. This class reflects on the last 24 hours of Jesus's life, his crucifixion, and resurrection. For more information, please call the church.
Away from the church, Pastor Amy also teaches a Bible study every Tuesday at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen from 10 AM-10:30 AM. Anyone is welcome to join us!
SUNDAY SCHOOL:
Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM every Sunday morning. Each class is open to anyone and everyone. In fact, the best way to know which class is right for you is to give each class a try. Some classes are more lecture, some are more discussion. For some you prepare ahead of time and for others you show up on Sunday morning. The names of the classes are listed below and they will be happy for you to sit in and participate!
Nursery: Downstairs
*In addition to a volunteer nursery worker, we will soon be hiring a nursery teacher who will be here each week to teach your child(ren) the stories and songs of faith during the Sunday School time and then direct play and interaction during the worship time. In 2010, we moved our nursery to a much larger room and completely updated its equipment. The nursery is a bright, colorful, safe place for your child(ren) to be well cared for and loved by our volunteers and upcoming nursery teacher. And, if at any time during the service you would like to check on your child, there is a camera in the nursery that displays on a screen in our sound room at the back of the sanctuary and you are welcome to take a quick peek!
